Identification numbers on front of 273 block

I believe I just said the car was Canadian built, I also believe the engine would have been manufactured in the US not in Canada but the stamp is definitely Canadian installed engine.

Identification numbers on front of 273 block

Thanks for that, I definitely did not find that info in my searches… Looks like it is probably not the original engine for my car. The block and intake are stamped to be a 1966 273, I haven’t had the valve cover off to check the heads but I don’t think it will be the 273 commando it was supposed...

I was actually able to use the one from before with a few mods. I am way up north so I was hoping it would work because I couldn’t find a new one.

Identification numbers on front of 273 block

Thx for the reply, that is not my vin but it was a late build I believe it was August if I remember correctly. I am thinking they may have used different numbers up here in Canada, I was reading an article which indicated so. There is not much literature out there on the Canadian built cars but...

    1965 barracuda resonator hanger

Right on, yeah I got it installed. Similar to yours we had to cut it back, on mine though it had some sort of a homemade tailpipe to look like the original but it didn’t… I like the resonator, it looks good and give the car a better sound.

Identification numbers on front of 273 block

Hello I have searched everywhere and cannot seem to figure out what these letters and numbers mean on the front of my block under the head. The block is a 6-7-66 stamped 2465330, it’s in my 65 August built Canadian made 1965 barracuda. I am thinking this is probably the way the Canadian plant...

    1965 barracuda resonator hanger

I know this may be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the original resonator hanger? I am getting a new date coded resonator put on on a couple days and would like to have it looking as close to original as possible. 1965 barracuda 273 barrel commando engine.

1969 Barracuda 340 Formula S - Sprucing Up and Finishing Touches

Easiest way to take care of that wiring is to buy some new harnesses in my opinion. Also a new circuit board would not hurt, they are a bit of work but all that electrical stuff should probably be replaced for best results. Cheers, nice car!

    My 65 Barracuda

Hello, I thought I would post my car in this thread because I didn’t really see a place to post members rides. I bought this car a few months back , I can’t say how long for sure it has been going through the restoration process but I believe it was painted in 2016 or so. The fella before me...

    1965 Valiant carpet Hold-Down screws

Yeah it looks a little different than the barracuda, but I am sure those screws to hold it down are the same.

    1965 Valiant carpet Hold-Down screws

Which ones? I am just installing the carpet in my Barracuda but the only screws for carpet would be the hold downs on the inside.
