In the same boat. I put the repo tire pressure decal on mine about 15 years ago and there barely any font left on it. Made for a sticker book, not a door jam that gets the occasional moisture on it. Clearly the volumes are there to justify making a small run of stickers for the 74+ A bodies...
I can only suspect with such a focus on volume/throughput they don’t want a side project/car sitting on the floor for weeks on end. As well, interacting with a customer (you, who will ask questions/want to be somewhat hands on and need to provide payment) is more time consuming and complex then...
That’s frustrating but nicely done sticking to your requirements. Last thing you want is to take a short cut which leads to years of regret afterwards. And what you’re asking for isn’t impossible. It’s not like you are asking to fly to Mars.
There are still shops that do quality work just...
You were brave deciding to have bumpers chromed at a shop in California! They’ve got the tightest sphincters for anything that could have the slightest impact on the environment and we all know how ‘toxic’ the chroming process can be! There are a lot of other states which don’t...
As everyone has stated on here, regardless if it’s a 2 or 4 post, having a lift makes a huge difference in being able to work on your vehicles as we get older!
Any fluid changes, brake jobs and anything else that requires being under the vehicle.
As others have said, you gotta post some pictures. The words ‘nice’ and ‘very nice’ are subjective.
Since it sounds like you need to sell it, and you know exactly what parts you have and what you’ve done to it, what asking price are you thinking? We could say $5k but if you’re thinking...
Great to see another 75 Plymouth Scamp/Brougham on the road!
Hopefully you can make it over to AJ so he can help you out.
I can’t help notice from the photos that your engine bay wiring looks like a bit of an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully cleaning that up is on the list too?
Not sure if you’ll get a specific answer from this thread but there are links in it to other threads that could help?
How come all my manual drum cars have disc master cylinders?
WOW, nice looking Dart! Great photo!
What’s wrong with the existing u joints or are you proactively having them replaced? The rear leaf springs appear to have quite a sag too, is that on the list to replace too?
Do you have the tool to remove the existing bushing and install new one without removing the tail shaft housing?
I replaced the bushing and seal on mine this past Spring and you won’t be able to get two bushings in there end to end.
These days it’s all about increasing market share across all price point/classes which ultimately waters down the quality that is no longer in the product to be at the lower price point.
Decades ago Mercedes was considered a luxury car brand but that meant the larger middle/lower class buyers...
How many raisins are in a 27oz box of Raisin Bran?
A lot of website car part catalogs do not include part listings for the 1975/76 A body cars (Scamp, Valiant, Dart and Dart Sport). That does not mean those cars don’t exist since we know Chrysler pumped them out in those years. It just means...
