    Thanks - I did not realize this, and some of the oil is definitely coming from the front of the head. I think you might be onto something! Matt

    When it was initially leaking I confirmed that the head bolts were still torqued to correct torque. Matt

    Thanks 6pakattach, everything is tight. I am really wondering if the flatness of the head needs to be checked. I am going to stop by the machine shop that did the block work when it was rebuilt and ask them some additionally questions next week.

    Believe it not, everything was painted when I installed the engine, so the oil is clearly not coming from the valve cover (or breather). Matt

    I rebuilt my slant 6 and I have continued to have an oil leak that I cannot get ride of. On the passenger side of the block the oil is running down the side of the block under the head. I have replaced the head gasket with in 1000 miles of the rebuild with no improvement. Any ideas or...
