I checked out my battery today and the car wasn't started in a week and pretty cold here and the voltage was 12.5v. The water level is good and spins the engine as if new, I would say its six years old.A relay seems like a good option as well.

The car is a 73 swinger hasn't been much change in the wiring I cleaned up a few not so great looking things and ran a new wire from the alt straight to the guage and then to the relay on the fender getting it away from the fire wall connector.That was a few years ago.
Seems like my alt voltage is high.I'm reading between 14.3 to 14.5 volts and if I stand on the gas as high as 15.I did some checking and tried another regulator and no help looks like a voltage drop to the regulator.So thinking of going with a one wire alternator or conversion kit but noticed...
Had a flat today and the end of my wheel wrench is to large and marked up the paint on the centre of my rims.Would any one know the color of the paint on a 73 dart rally centre.Any help would be appreciated thanks
Thanks I appreciate your input on this.The confusing part for me is the wheels that are listed to 70 but not any newer and it was 1970 the columns got larger.
Ya when I said my wheel is bigger I meant the column is bigger on the 70 and up and there is one available for the 70 road runner thinking maybe it might fit.
