I just gutted the interior of my 64' valiant, and the front pans have rust pin holes and the rear pans have massive rust holes. I know I need to cut and patch, but is there anything special I need to be aware off when I am doing this? Its my first time and I want to do it right! O:)
since i got it my 64' valiant has a insanely high idle, it slows down when you shift into drive or reverse. after it warms up the choke plate doesnt appear to move. would this be choke thermostate problem? where would i start troubleshooting/replacing stuff??

I recently acquired this 1964 canadian valiant. Its got a running 273 with pushbutton trans. Interior needs reupholstering and all floor pans could use some attention, (rear pans are rotted through). Quarters are rusted pretty good, underneath has surface rust but nothing that compromised...
