I am in the same boat, needs/wants as you.
I do have an a518 transmission. I don't need alot of low end since I am traction limited, being it's in a longbed rwd gen1 dakota.
I'm also run a much bigger tire than mosþ of rhe guys on here 29<30".
With the stock tires 215/75r15 and 3.55 rears...
With ALL his Expertise, in the recent Wiengartner cam challenge. He wasn't even close to the top of the leader board in any of the performance categories.
I zoomed on the chambers, I t looks like they milled ridges on the triangle between the valves, across from the spark plug, in the chamber?
I thought that was odd, maybe for adding turbulence/ helping mixture quality?
Actually slightly less than YFS heads if you need the RR with them. These heads come with offest RRs.
I wish they posted a real flow chart, the give an avg. From .200<.700. If their numbers are right, they avg about 20cfms more than the TFS Heads.
I did email TFS, I asked if they were going...
I hope they get back to me about the intake. It looks like a copy of the foxbody 5.0 SEFI 2pc. Manifold. Looks like the top can be swapped to change plenum volume.
These heads were used with their own EFI Tunnel ram style manifold for Magnum heads.
The 360 magnum also had their Twin Turbo setup making 700 crank HP and 550 RWHP.
It was backed by a 4L80e with their adapter plate and controller.
Driveability has Zero to do with Driveability. Hondas are proof of that...I don't know ANY Non v8 that has Tq N/A, lol.
I Definitely think people have Competely different meanings of "Driveability"
I can Guarantee, that more than a few cars on here that are driven on the Street I Don't...
Other test I would like to see, Change the durations and LSA to maintain the same overlap.
228/234 on 106 lsa vs. 232/236 on 108 lsa vs. 236/242 on 110lsa vs. 240/246 on 112 lsa
They really need to do this test again, but account for the much lower cranking/dynamic compression of the wider LSA. How would they differ if they were advanced/retarded so that the Intake closing points were the same? Other option would be to change gasket thickness to bump/drop static...
I am in a different boat than 99% of the guys on here. I don't have a light a-body. With my 46rh, I am at <1/4 throttle 90% and 100% throttle the rest.
I am here because this site has the most discussions about small blocks. E, B and truck forums have alot less guys doing SBM mods.
I am also...
