new kits have the correct spring perch holes ,older sets are too large ,and easy fix is to : get a piece of 3/8 steel pipe (the smallest they got as you only use the ends) cut 5/8 from each end and tap them from the bottom .then weld them from the back side. i welded both sides. then grind them...
