    Show That Lowered A-body!

Nice! How much clearance do you have from the torsion bar x-member to ground?

    Mustang II front suspension/67' cuda

I'm looking into a good suspension setup for my '67 Dart, and am looking at the Alterkation ($$), Art Morrison ($$$), and maybe even a x-member to use C4 Corvette spindles/hubs/lca/uca ($?). Just stumbled on this while googling the Dart hub-hub dimensions. Sounds like a cool project! How...

5 or 6 speed manual behind new Hemi - Realistic Options?

After driving an '09 Challenger 5.7L 6speed with it's 28.6" tire, and 3:91 rear end, I bought a 5 speed TKO and bellhousing for a Gen3 Hemi for ~$1500. Found it on craigslist. A gent bought it new, but never installed it in his mustang. The newer Challenger is geared super short in 1 and 2...

8.8 rear in my A-body. I cant be the first!

Now add a disc brake kit on top of that. That's exactly why I went the Ford Explorer 8.8 route. Parts are cheap for them also.

8.8 rear in my A-body. I cant be the first!

I picked one up early last year with the same thoughts in mind. Factory limited slip, disc brakes, and a 3:73 ratio for ~$200. You can't beat that. Those are 17x10.5" "Bullitt" wheels in the pic below. The pass side is the shorter side of the axle. Isn't the engine in our a-bodies set to...

new hemi mpg in an Abody?

Great thread. I have a '05 5.7L in my garage that will go into my '67 dart. I'll be running a 3.73 rear end, ~27" tire, tko 5 speed ( 1-5 gears are 3.27,1.98,1.34,1.00,0.68 ). I wonder how this compares to my 4300lb. '05 Magnum RT with a 2.82 rear end and 28.5" tire? I average 16.5-18...

Mustang Cobra IRS in an A-body

I've also looked into this for my 5.7L '67 Dart project. I'm not sure of the strength of them, but i've read that the 1968-1982 Corvette rear end is 59.5". Here's a '72 'vette rear upgraded with lateral links and mono-leaf spring... Off topic... I just picked up an 8.8 Ford...

    wheel adapters

Agreed. Just make sure they're hubcentric- to the car's hub, and to the wheel's centerbore. You don't want to have the whole vehicle's weight on the studs alone. The centerbore of the wheel needs to index on some sort of center hub, and transfer the load to the axle/hub. This an example of a...

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

As mentioned in the link above, these wheels should fit better(w/o an adapter/spacer) in the rear with a b-body 8 3/4. I have a '67 dart, and have found a cheap set of 17x8 factory Mustang GT (bullitt style) wheels. I've been toying with the idea of swapping out my 8 1/4 non-posi rear in favor...
