hi... no i haven't found a reverse shift rod yet. the OEM rods are much bigger than the reproduction ones. OEM rods are about the thickness of a man's little finger and the reverse rod has a sharp bend in the middle - like 40 degrees. if you have a pic of any factory rods you might have...
i downloaded the Federal Registry you cited which is from 1971 and is 152 pages!! i read the section on headrests - also called "head restraints." it is very interesting stuff from a "lawyer" perspective. thanks again for this information.
LOL! thank you for posting those Regulations!! i've been retired from my law practice for a number years but i always enjoy reading regulations written so no one can understand... thanks... :0)
hi Hemi71x.... did you sell all your rebuilt Kelsey Hayes brake calipers? i have an original set but they need a complete rebuilt/restoration. let me know if you have a set and we can do a private conversation.
thanks...

i always wanted a M-Code Cuda and finally found one several years ago. it was a cut up 426 Hemi drag car in Boston ten years ago then it went to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to a mopar racing guy who put a 440 in it. i was able to buy it from him as a roller with no racing parts. i then had the...
sadly, the autonews website won't let you read this article unless you buy a subscription. that publication has a lot of good car news but i already have too many "on-line" subscriptions. maybe you could summarize what the article says?
davescuda.... i'm wondering if i could add my M-Code fastback to the Registry? please tell me how to do that and what documentation you need. i can send you pics of the dash VIN tag and the body numbers on the radiator support and rear trunk lip.
Thanks... Jim Coster, Pittsburgh, PA
I'm looking for an original OEM mopar 833 reverse shifting rod. The original OE rod is thicker and has a sharper bend than the aftermarket ones.
Will pay a decent price for a nice condition part.
Thanks. Jim Coster, Pittsburgh, PA
hey!! thank you for your kind words. i had a good day today - i installed a new Hurst Comp Plus shifter in my 68 Formula S along with an ORIGINAL "first generation" Hurst "Reverse Lock-out" with the round red ball. it takes me back to my 1970 street racing days.
I'm pretty sure Federal Regs for mandated headrests were not mandatory until the 1970 car model year. that is why for mopar, the "high-back" bucket seats were in everything. the higher back fulfilled the "headrest" safety regulation.
THANK YOU AAndrews for your pictures. yes, i was referring to the Formula S Rally dash. after i posted my comment to CudaDad on the restoration of his car by GYC's and what i felt was a "mistake" in the dash, i realized that the "basic" dash was the one in his car. i have looked through the...
hi cuda guy,
all mopar V/8's came with either a 22" or a 26" radiator and corresponding shroud. all the air conditioner equipped cars had the 26" radiator. when it comes to keeping a mopar "cool" "bigger is always better" so your really need a 26" radiator for your 440. if you use an original...
