I don't know the part or stamping numbers your using BUT I do recall when I did a big block conversion in an a body (440 into 68 barracuda that was originally a 318) with Schmacher mounts they recommended using a C body oil pan and it worked.
I thought I responded to this already but maybe it didn't go through. I have one at home, good used that I removed when I put the repro 273 hi-po exhaust from Accurate on. It is from a 66 273 2bbl. automatic Barracuda. I'll check when I get home from work and pm you.
From 1980-82 I was stationed at Seneca Army Depot, Romulus,NY. I bought a red 69 Dart Swinger 340 4 spd.with black bumble bee stripe and an unpainted (white) six pack scoop. It was in mint condition body and interior wise but the 340 was beat on. I think it was a de-tuned race car. You could...
Please clarify. Your title line says "W/ FULL MANUAL VALVE BODY." If it is indeed a full manual valve body then you don't have "D" you have 3rd gear. A fully manual valve body does not shift automatically at all.
You might try raising both rear wheels with the trans in neutral and spinning a tire 1 revolution and count how many times the drive shaft rotates then say it's 3 1/4 turns it 's 3.23s etc.
I believe it's easier to change the whole center section (pumpkin, hog head). You can usualy pick them...
Thank you Cudamark. Yeah, I recall that fuel miser option and if it has it thats the driver's side fender mounted signal that lights up. I also have a broken ported vacuum switch that is related to the EGR valve, I wonder if that's it.
I have a 75 Plymouth Scamp /6 225/904/7.25. All of the lights and directionals work except the drivers side fender mounted signal. It had a 194 bulb in it. The owners manual said 168. I tried one of them. I've rotated how they were plugged in. I replaced the connector/pigtail that has the...
Hi ladies & gentlemen. Jim from Wrentham, MA here. I have a 75 Scamp with a 225 /6. The ported vacuum plug/fitting on the engine near the thermostat with 2 connections on it has one broken off. As I understand it these control the EGR valve. There is another one on the radiator that is...
I have had 3 cars that came with Thermoquads ( 2 '72 340's and a '76 360). They are good carbs but I find them hard to adjust & maintain adjustment. I replaced them with the Holley spreadbore listed as the stock replacement & loved them. No bog and you could roll into it and spin the tires.
