Wasn’t fuel. No fuel smell to the oil but I can’t describe the smell well. Maybe more like gear oil than motor oil. I used 10/30 mobile 1 classic for motors 51 to 96. First time I’ve ever seen it.

pulled the 318 from my duster, long tube headers, put a built 440 in and had to take out due to a couple issues (headers not fitting being one). Just dropped the rebuilt 318 back in with shorty headers, and no matter what the new headers will not clear passenger side nor steering box on driver...
