Fully Built 225 Slant Six Pricing Question

Dude, we should talk! Also in Orange County, CA (RSM) and I've gone the other direction.. Done with 360s and very much enjoying my slant powered car.. I've got a bone stock 5.9L magnum, and a reasonably built 360/904 combo from my 67 barracuda that came out after a reckless teen driver crunched...

New 1920 carb replacement? Who wants to be the first to try one?

I can hardly believe it, but I have had good luck with the 2bbl $85 special 2bbl on my super six powered car.. If this 1bbl is built in the same way, I'd give it a shot.. If my 1-bbl powered '67 valiant has issues running, I'll give this one a try..

[FOR SALE] Slant6 carter 2 barrel candy cane kickdown linkage brackets

Interested in a set-up as well--my "complete super six setup" I bought 15 years ago is actually woefully incomplete.. lol.. Your inbox is still jammed full.. Feel free to inbox me..

[WANTED] 7 1/4 2.93 gears Los Angeles area

I've got a low mileage (~86,000 miles, was driven regularly til 1995 and then it went I to drydock) 7-1/4 in my 67 Valiant V-100.. I don't know the gear ratio, but my V-100s that base model, rubber floor mat, 3 on the tree manual 170 slant 1bbl.. Wouldn't doubt the ratio is in that neighborhood...

How I installed new window rollers

Huge thanks for this post and all its pictures. What I learned in the process of doing my driver's side: Vans Auto kit does not include enough rubber washers if you're gonna replace all of yours.. While you're at it, you'll need to probably replace some of the spacers inside the window.. As I...

    Duster - Modified dash

When I did VDO gauges in my 67 barracuda, I clipped the round connector on the dash and terminated them with molex-style pin connectors.. I used a 12-hole connector from Radio Shack and crimpers to create my own dash harness plug.. If you go my route, buy extras-- they never give you enough...

    Buddies 170 is a DOG!

Too funny-- I just got those same exact items from a 74 Dart in the Ecology auto yard in Wilmington (about 25 minutes north of Disneyland).. Electronic Distributor, factory electric choke, air cleaner with heat tube (exhaust duct was rotted pretty bad, so I left it).. Also nabbed the 1bbl...

    Buddies 170 is a DOG!

Red 5 standing by... Yup, monitoring and paying attention.. Ran the valves hot just like the SlantSix dot org post says (messy, but it worked for a first timer like me.. Turning a wrench while it's moving a few inches in your hand is ... interesting! Didn't appear to have any means of...

    Need .870, .890, or .920 torsion bars

Hey gang.. Doing up the suspension boogie on my '67 Valiant and the t-bars in my barracuda were toast when we removed the engine.. (don't ask.. it's not pretty.. and, the car was slammed in the side pretty hard anyway so I wouldn't trust the old bars).. Anyway, the car is a /6 car with 86k...

Restoration no longer possible (not for the faint of heart)

I will do my best to get the ol girl back on the road (though, it doesn't look good.. And, she was a bit rough here and there..) I intend on making the kid pay until I'm satisfied I've gotten a car of equal or greater value.. Hard-top barracudas without a vinyl roof is a tough find, it seems...

Restoration no longer possible (not for the faint of heart)

I don't really check FABO because I'm so busy with teaching.. But, I thought you guys might appreciate the lack of progress on my 67 Beatercuda restoration.. It WAS my daily driver.. This was the email I sent to the Barracuda Owner's Group.. Oh, cruel fate. I knew I should have skipped my...
