    Starter relay keeps going bad

Hmm, well I cleaned up all the grounds and still nothing. I ordered a new relay anyway, but I'm gonna have auto zone test my starter and see where that takes me. I decided to start my car with a little screwdriver action to the starter since it hadn't been driven in a while and found that now my...

    Starter relay keeps going bad

I have not tried a remote starter switch. I do have points so that's good that the alt meter is normal. Hmm, Ill have to check the starter tomorrow and see. That would make sense though. Gotta love electrical problems. Thanks for the help!

    Starter relay keeps going bad

So I'm out of ideas. Go for a drive one morning and all is good- next day I go to start it and nothing. The only response I have from turning the key is the alternator meter dips a little. This is the third time this has happened. The rest of the times I replaced the starter relay and the car...

Upper control arm ball joint spindles not long enough on disc brake conversion

These look like they'd be perfect! It says 68-89 Chrysler/Plymouth... so I assume they would fit my arms. Do you if the upper arms you put these into are the pre 73 smaller style or are they the bigger style ball joints? Thanks for the help yall!

Upper control arm ball joint spindles not long enough on disc brake conversion

Yeah, your probably right. I'm just having a hard time finding shorter castle nuts that will clear the little threads available in the right size. But I think I will make sure that I get a castle nut on there one way or the other! Thank you

Upper control arm ball joint spindles not long enough on disc brake conversion

So I can't afford new later model upper arms, but from that kit DoctorDiff had in the thread hemi71 posted it comes with flange nuts instead of castle nuts. If I loctite those flange nuts and torque them down would that be safe as using castle nuts? Am I being paranoid? Does anyone have any...

Upper control arm ball joint spindles not long enough on disc brake conversion

Hey there, I've been working on converting my manual drums to power disc in my 71 Valiant and everything has gone together fine up until now. The kit I used is the Pirate Jack Front Disc Conversion for small bolt pattern A body. The problem that I've ran into is that the spindle on the upper...

    Upper control arm help

Well, this is embarrassing. I took off my upper control arms a couple days ago to change out the bushings and such. Well the parts came in today and now I can't remember way they go back in. The arms have one side with a 'dent' or skinnier side and the other is non-dented. If someone could give...

I think I'm gonna go with a 110 amp alt and get a wiring kit as well. Voltmeter sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the replies!

1971 Valiant, Help choosing what alternator amperage I need?

Hi, I have a 1971 Valiant. I am planning on adding AC to the car. I already have a 2 speaker system in the car (JBL GTR-104). While I am converting the front brakes to disc, I decided to check my alternator because I've also had some charging issues. I take it to auto parts store, and it reads...
