Van's used to be an old car junkyard. I picked that place many times buying every early Hemi engine that was easy to get to plus quite a bit of Ford 351C parts.
Now that I have a Coronet I have purchased a few things for that project.
I also really like the guys at MegaParts...both are kinda...
I found the correct spark plugs for my project in my parts pile...they are likely only 20 years old .
I'd use the new ones I have but those are even older.

And my balancer deal is ok... I think all 318's are internally balanced...yes? No? I've been in a 340 fog for awhile I guess.

So my intake is a '69...water pumps are later.
Since there isn't any way to change the as-cast larger water pump fitting I have to figger out how to adapt/reduce/enlarge the intake to fit the later bypass hose fitting.
Maybe just fitting an early water pump to the engine would be simpler...
Working on my ' 74 318...the bypass hose I bought fits the '69 intake nipple but is too small for the water pump connection.
This is a mix and match engine using my available water pumps...all three pumps that I have feature the same larger water pump nipple.
So what year fixed this issue?
So this week my wife and I decided to go buy a burial plot in a small local cemetery .
