sounds like great advice.I am going to concentrate on both ends of the headers can anyone recommend a good header gasket I heard that a good gasket plus high heat adhesive works well thanks again for your input. Paul

fishy 68 the compression is 10.7 to 1. I live in Canada so the highest octane I can get is 94 from sunoco but I have added lucas octane booster from tme to time and yes this car is known to ping when under load when climbing a steep hill, but I am certainly going to check the collector gasket...

I have a 68 dart gts, 340 motor mopar lifters ,stock rocker arms car starts easily runs strong no metal filings in pan and yet their is a noticable lifter tick or tappet noise on acceleration but reasonably quiet at idle.I even doubled header gaskets thinking it might be a header leak did not...

Hi I was wondering if anyone has restored a 3 spoke woodgrain type steering wheel.The problem I have is that the outer chrome trim ring now seems to large for the wheel.The steering wheel has numerous cracks and one half inch piece missing, I was thinking that maybe the wheel is not the same...

Hi Dan is the setup you have for a 68 gts complete. I know it may need rebuilding but is everything there to do the swap to a 10" drum car. Is it a factory disc brake setup for a 68gts, if so, I would be very interested, providing we can agree upon a fair price. Is the caliper a 4 piston setup...

Does anyone know if engine paint comes in anything other than spray cans.So that you can touch up nicks or chips without masking everything off. like in a can and use a small brush.
