Does anyone know when you swap from Small bolt discs to Big Bolt discs, how much that changes the front track width of the car?

This is a odd question I suppose but what do people do with empty NOS boxes after you used the part inside? I have quite a few boxes. I don't think I have the heart to just throw them out but yet I really don't want bins full of tiny empty boxes laying around lol. Am I way too OCD?

I bought a clean pair of MT valve covers. 0 holes in them for the breather or pcv. My question is, what is the proper grommet size for them? I've been reading conflicting things and I just don't want to mess them up.
