This was my first patch job, so I'm kind of learning as I go. Thanks for the compliments, I'll post pics of the finished product when done. This is going to be a race car so there will be lots of pics to come.
It's going to be a strip only car but I want it to look good. I dug out body filler that was a half inch thick in places, why can't people do things right---drives me nuts.
I have a 8 3/4 sure grip that came out of a 74 pick up, it feels like there is something stuck in it. It will only spin part of the way around, can these be rebuilt or is it junk?
If it's an older diesel yes just a little starving of fuel will kill it, with the newer ones they are like gas engines and there are a lot of sensors that can act up or go bad and that can shut them down too.
There is a fuel shut off solenoid, that could be acting up, if they lose power for just a second or hang up a little they shut the fuel off, but like was mentioned before could be in the ecm. I work on diesels and the gm's are notorious for fueling problems, most of the time it's the pump...
Anyone ever use victor heads? Im building a 400 stroker race motor and weighing my options on the heads, the victors look good due to the chamber size getting me in the area of where I want to be for compression. Any other suggestions, idea's. Thanks
