    What have I done(or failed to do)now?

Finally got the oilpan (Milodon deep sump) off. Will not come out with TTI's installed. Had to completely remove passenger side tubes, and remove all bolts from driver side and let it drop down. What a pain. Found oil pump properly installed, but hex drive was cracked to where the drive shaft...

    What have I done(or failed to do)now?

Decided to do a header swap over the winter, as my Hookers were pretty smashed up. So pulled all that out and ordered some TTI's. Since all that was out of the way, I decided it was a perfect time to pull the pan and change a leaking rear main. Done, all buttoned up, new headers installed, new...

[WANTED] Wanted: Mopar Small Block Headers

Looking for passenger side headers so I can replace my crushed tubes. We're talking about Hooker Super Comp adjustable Race P/N 5303-1HKR. They have 1 7/8 primaries. Ceramic coating. Really only need tubes 4, 6 and 8 and collector, but would take the whole set off someones hands. I know Hooker...

    Duster fuel gage

Any thoughts about why my fuel gage (1970 ralley dash) reads full all the time. This even occurs with the battery disconnected. I am thinking bad gage myself, and wouldn't have a clue about locating just that part of the ralley cluster. Any help out there? Thanks

    Ignition Switch Problem?

Jumped into the Old Duster yesterday to terrorize the streets, but found when I turned the key there was no resistance and no spring return. Just sort of turned. Then I Noticed my Tach pegged all the way, and a completely dead battery. I assume, because of the way the switch acted, that the...

    Ceramic Headers

I have a set of 1 7/8" Hooker ceramic headers on my SB Duster. Is it normal for the ceramic coating to dull out over time, and if so is there any way to keep them shiny and good looking for shows. Thanx!

    340 Idle problems

The car appears to have been built for the track rather than the street. I don't know what the "dizzy locked down" reference means. Sorry!

    340 Idle problems

Vacumn advance has been unused since I received the car, wasn't even hooked up. I never thought much about it figuring whoever built this engine knew what they were doing, as it ran so well. Seat slamming acceleration with the 4.30's and has cruised effortlessly to numerous car shows (although...

    340 Idle problems

Just got done replacing my Mopar adjustable rocker arms with some Comp Cams steel roller rockers (same 1.5 ratio). Did nothing at all to any adjustments, besides setting the valve lash, and now when shifting out of park to a drive gear, the idle drops off to where I have to give it gas to keep...

    340 Duster Torque Converter

Is there any procedure that you can use to determine the stall speed of a converter. All I know is that it is a 9.5" Dynamic, mated to my 727. Help answering this appreciated!

    Redrilling For Larger Bolt Pattern

Just a note about using the screw in studs. Ensure that they have small heads. Mine are moroso allen head and the head is so big it interferes with the wheel cylinder and parking brake strut. I think Moser sells some that have a low profile head and maybe ARPs 12 Pt head is low profile, or you...

    Master Cylinder leakage

Anyone out there know why my MC continually spits fluid. I'll get back from a cruise and have to clean fluid off the MC before it ruins the paint, which the previous unit did (main reason I installed one of the new aluminum units) It is not overfull but fluid still gets out the caps! Any ideas...

    Broken Screw

Info on Automatic Center Punch a Godsend. Two smacks with it and it was loose enough to back out. Thanks a million!!!

    Broken Screw

It wasn't cross threaded or anything, Just used too big a torque wrench on it and overtorqued it. Unfortunately, nothing to grap with vice grips! Thanks for the info.
