True 1968 Barracuda Formula 340 S notchback. This is a 2 owner, Texas car. Not registered since mid 90s. Owner passed away last year, so we dont know when it last ran. As far as I know it is completely original except for headers and the wheels - I do not have the original parts. Options are...
After much deliberation, I have decided that I just don't have the room to store this car for the 2 or so years it will take me to get to it. I have spoken with the owner and she agreed it's time to put it up for sale. Below is the copy from the Craigslit ad:

As much as I'd love to restore and DD the car, I'm knee deep in another project that my friend had and I bought. I'm going to clean out the fuel system, oil the jugs and see if the 340 will come back alive, then most likely sell her to someone who has the time to make her shine again.
I introduced this car last year in the threads below:

Short story - the car beloged to a friend who passed away in 2008. It lived it's life in San Angelo TX and sat...
Pete - I've certainly been giving it some thought but I bought and am restoring one of Warren's other cars. I'd have to store this one for a couple years til the first one is complete.
Agreed - unfortunately, my friend Warren, the owner fell ill with cystic fibrosis in the 80's and always had hope he would be well enough to get it back on the road. I miss him a lot.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't get a chance to look underneath or in the trunk when I visited. I'll probably pick it up and bring back to Dallas in the next few weeks and have a chance to better evaluate.
Do you guys think there is any chance the engine could be brought back to life after a...
I posted about this car last year. The owner was a friend who passed away. His sister is now ready to determine value and get it on the market. It appears to be all original and all there. It spent it's life in west Texas and the sister believes miles are true - 46K. It is not running and hasn't...
longone - the top is painted, so that's why no rust. The lower quarters are the only rust I saw, bu we didn't get in the trunk. I'll get a better look next time I go out. I agree that it's a cool car. Far as I know, my buddies' dad bought it new and passed it to him. It would be a cool project...
I was able to get out to west TX a couple weeks ago and saw thae car. It has some potential, but the sister hasn't decided what she wants to do yet. Here are some pics.
Thanks for all the great info. Warren Hall was my friend's name. He was stricken with Cystic Fibrosis when younger, but lived to an amazing 57 years of age before the disease finally got him. He had been a fixture on Pelican Parts bbs since it's beginning and was an amazing source of info about...
Thanks for the replys. The car has lived in dry west Texas all it's life, but I haven't seen it yet and his sis doesn't know enough to find the fender tag. I'm planning on a trip to pick up one of his cars (73 Porsche 911S targa) in the next couple of weeks and will be able to get some pics and...
A friend passed away earlier this year and his sister has asked me to help find out a little about his cars. One is a 68 Barracuda coupe that is supposed to be a 340S. Car is red out/white in, auto and AC. He quit driving it around 2000 or 01 and I don't know if it broke or he just parked it...
