Sunvisors and headliner: 1960 Valiant 200

I used later model Ford Falcon sun visors for mine. This is the start of a hard headlining I made for mine. I slightly moved the mounting point forward to have some metal to mount to.

65 Dart Wagon Conversion to a Sedan Delivery

Scott's dart, not wanting to crash Dartmans post, there are many seat heaters on ebay. Fitted one for a mate 11 years ago. Still works fine, as good as some expensive units I've bought! Of late I've been fitting ones with 5 or 6 heat settings, much better than the hot or even hotter settings on...

I'm 3D Printing a set of Dash Panels with Gauges

I'm enjoying watching your progress. I haven't looked at 3d printing as yet, but really should! I made my custom dash board by modifying a factory fascia, then making silicone moulds and casting it out of fibreglass with vinyl ester resin for it's heat stability. It took 10 months to make and...

    Aussie VC 67 Dodge ute

Thanks for the post, between this page and my Facebook build page I get very little feedback. At times it feels like no one is following, then on other groups if it's not how Chrysler did it, look out if you try something new!!

I know what you mean. Thinking of stopping posting even though there are those who like what I post and that it's a "how to" with everything. I can't handle pointless criticism, critique is a different thing! As is just asking a pointed question, but others it's just picking at you. Every car...

I like to do my projects as how to's to encourage other to have a go! A lot of things aren't that hard once you're shown how. Getting a lot of negative comments about this cover on FaceBook!!

    Aussie VC 67 Dodge ute

Amongst all the other jobs I have on at the moment I’m testing the idea of a late model style engine cover on the LA small block. This is just a basic mock up and there’s a lot of finishing to be done. Including “Dodge” embossed down both rocker cover sections. I have a couple of options to test...

#3 test door panel.....it will be covered in a leather match vinyl that is close to an exact match to the leather for the seats. The inserts for both the doors and seats will be a matching colour of Alcantara.

The test door is basically finished, 4 months work! Currently it’s fitted with ED Falcon exterior handles but they will be changed to EL once I get a pair of rear door cuts as the handles are slightly different to front mounts. These handles illuminate when the alarm is turned off. FG Falcon...

Has anyone thought about or made their own version of the "Air Grabber " ??

It would take a bit of work, but doable. I was looking at an air grabber at a show recently and thought a linear actuator would work well to open one. Something like in this link. It could be controlled with a one touch power window unit to be auto up/down, self stopping! 6000N 1320lbs Heavy...

    1966 Dart GT-it begins

I've done similar to my Aussie 1967 Dodge ute. Below is a link to my build page, some of the ideas from post #263 on may be of interest! I mounted my gas struts to the hood instead of the hinge as I'm looking at boxing behind the kick panels for a speaker enclosure. So the struts can't mount in...

COTM is almost getting too big! Hope they take the best 1000 cars, not just the first 1000 to entre. But I get in trouble when I say things like that. Truth be it, some cars that take up valuable space that are just another old car with nothing interesting about them. Same thing has happened to...

    Fitting aftermarket power windows

I'll be taking measurements from the test door for the position of the holes for the upper mount. Then the mount will be drilled while in place with the MDF spacer to align. The lower mount will be set and a single tack welded to hold again using my MDF spacer. Next the steel brace I made will...
