What makes an engine to me is the basic archetetere deck height and bore x stroke and I see similarities between the two, except for the canted valve heads of course, that's where the chevy would probably be better

good thread and a great response,id be prepared to lose a tenth or 2,if you have a fast 02 sensor on your collecter the edelbrock should be easy to tune,thats what i plan on buying

whats the quickest et,s you,ve seen with a single edelbrock carby....i kinda treat holleys like i do chevys with abit of disdain,i have a 451 stroker and i want to go quick with an edelbrock

well i put the 3:23 s in,car is much better loads the engine up and pulls hard now,converter is too loose though still flashes to 4000,i,ll take it back to the strip and see what it does,because i dont think the converter will affect strip performance at all,just a bit loose for the street,only...

hi my brother has a 340 which runs the mopar performance aluminium closed chamber heads and when the motor was built he had to use like a 100 thou gasket because the pistons hung out like 40 thou or whatever they hang out on a stock 340,my cousin is now building a 360 and has come across a set...

thats exactly what happens in first by the time the converter locks up it screams its head off and im into 2nd and then im going into 3rd in no time but not really going anywhere in a hurry,i think the converter slips too much and the gears are too low ,thats why im thinking the 3.23s might feel...
