I have a 66 Barracuda Formula S 4 spd car with the Commando 273.
The 273 is getting tired, and I’ve heard that they are difficult/expensive to rebuild with a decent amount of horsepower.
I think it would be easier to rebuild another LA small block, 318/340/360 to put out some more serious...
Alright, here we go. I did more research and found this website that details the decoding process for the 66 fender tag. According to the tag it is a real Formula S car. It’s so cool to find out all the original options!
Thanks for the replies. I do know that it’s likely within the VIN but I’m not sure what exactly what I should be looking for after decoding the vin. I’ve done it through websites but I didn’t find anything directly identifying it as a Formula S
