You can spend unlimited amount of money on what you want. The question is what you want to spend. I've got roughly 35k into my car thus far and its not even painted yet. By the time it's finished I'm guessing 50k, not exactly a 16 year olds budget but to give you an example of where it can go...

I purchased the RMS (alterkation) coil overfront end. Wow, what a piece. Haven't got the car totally together yet,so have not put it to the test yet but it is a well designed piece that looks like it will handle anything that it's put to. My recomendation going by what i've reviewed.
