I would love to have the cross ram, but no way am I going to spend that kind of money. The offy intake, on a offy parts site they show a 2-4 setup but say 273-318. Would that work on the 340? I am not looking for a tunnel ram. Thanks Matt
I have been thinking about puting in a 360 magnum (? liter) motor in my demon, but dan't know when they started the magnum series? My thought on this is for the roller system in the motor. I have a 73' 340 that needs crank and full rebuild so I thought that the magnum's would be a better way to...
I agree about the originals, but they usually want way more than I want to pay and you still have to do work to them to get them nice again. I would be interested in a set if someone has a pair to sell. Anyone out there got any?
Thanks for the info. I am going to check them out.I would love to see a picture of them on the car and how was the fitment of the scoops to the hood. Did you have any problems and do you have to buy the studs seperately or use another type of fastener? thanks
I have a 71' demon and want to put on the dual style scoops. I would like to put on originals, but repo's would be fine. What companys make or sell repops and which ones are the better ones. Any help wuold be very appreciated.
Matt
I have a 73' 340 for my Demon. From what I know these are externally balanced engines. I have pulled the oil pan off to check the crank and it didn't look good! There was rust and some pitting. I need to get a new crank, but I was wondering can I make this an internally ballanced engine? If so...
Was that 250 to rebuild or to buy a new mechanism? I have rebuilt 2 on my own and thought it wasn't that hard. You just don't get new parts. Thats shims and pins or the cover that goes on the bottom to protect from dirt.
I am looking for a set of bucket seats and would like to know what seats to use to keep original look? I have a 71 Demon. was told by a guy at a show that E-body seats are the same but need different tracks. I don't know if this is correct though.
I'm 33 and usually changing jobs every 6 months, but am certified machinist, hold a class A liscence and have some years experiance in construction. Always just trying to find a good place to work without buttholes that ride my butt!
I still would like to know if rebuilding the rear with new parts would the rear be able to handle more power? My thoughts are yes, but don't know. And at the price of rebuilding it would it be cheaper to get 8 3/4 instead? :wav:
