always run mine at .028/.032 a little noisy from what I understand tighter or looser changes your cam timing slightly due to opening valves sooner [tighter] or later [looser]
may need a fuel pressure regulator my 340 6 bbl would do the same thing I have mine set at 4 psi otherwise it would just flood the needle and seat just wouldn't stop the fuel after it got hot
Check to make sure your fluid level isn't overfilled when the fluid gets hot it expands and if its overfull it has no where to go so it will apply the brakes. This is true with all cars and trucks and is the reason why its a bad idea to top off your brake fluid because if you have a clear master...
