I thought about doing just what you said and just bolting it in the corners instead of welding, but im not so sure it would support that heavy pig with just one bolt in each corner where the red dots are..do you think it would?
Anyone know of anywhere that may sell an assembly stand for an 8 3/4 rear chunk? Was watching youtube and saw this home made one and thought it was a great idea, BUT the angle iron has to be welded together and i dont weld and dont have a welder either..so simple and goes into an engine stand so...
sounds good! What are you guys using to hone the center of the old bearing out? Also, when i use the old honed out bearing to set the pinion depth, im assuming i have to put the complete unit together, set the backlash and use the gear marking compound to be sure that pinion depth is correct...

no, the space is fine now with the offset spring hanger kit, i was just updating yall that there is still a difference between the 2 sides between the leaf springs and axle housing ends, but the space from the axle housing ends and the fender lip is the same on each side..
My dart is a big block with 727 automatic. It does not have a floor console, shifts on the column. I am wanting a shifter for the floor that maybe uses a cable so i dont have to cut the floor up..is there such a thing? If so, is there such a thing that has a nice base being there is no center...
