when i first put my 440 dart together, i needed a carb, so went to junkyard and asked if they had any chrysler 4 barrels and they brought out the thermoquad 6568s and an old AVS..i bought the thermoquad. stuck it on and it ran very good. Later found out is was originally for the 1974 ford 460.

well, this 9097s carb came factory with .143 secondaries..

never was happy with the cheesy instructions that came with it. They showed the L brackets up like i have them, so looks like the directions are backwards..?

Bewy, what size secondary jets would you run on a mild to mid built 440? I bought several small drill bits years ago for building thermoquads per demonsizzler instructions and lost my notes. I have 2 drills for the secondary jets, a .147 and a .154, not sure which one i used.

so, do you like the hellwig setup and did it make a big difference for you? I havent drove mine yet as its been icy.

when i rebuilt the front end, i was short one cotter key of the right size so i just stuck one side of that big one in there for the time being. Im glad you brought it up because i had totally forgotten about it.Now i will remember to pick one up that will fit.

rebuilding my thermoquad and cleaned it up real nicely, but after it sits for a few days, that raw aluminum turns to this nasty dull white look. Wondering what you can put on the top plate to preserve the looks after cleaning it up? I tried clear coating my last one and the clear coat just...

I loosened the brackets all the way up and got them moved as much as they would go.

I am needing the plastic center section from a 9077s thermoquad, or will take the whole carb for a decent deal. Please message me. Thanks!
