Finally got the front suspension out of the parts car. If I ever find the guy who was welder happy...

Where does Wisconsin place in the in Rust Ranking category of the MRC (Most Rotten Car) State League. It's certainly in the top five. Historically it has held First Place at different times. I have always been impressed by the great efforts you all make to allow a specimen like this qualify as...

    Which Fram Oil Filter.

This explains the metal shavings and the occasional finger.

    Butler-Conti Dodge

Richard, Sorry to say I don't recall any black 340 Dusters. I had a Sherwood Green 71 340 Duster with a 4 speed. There were a couple of Sassy Grass Green examples, a couple red, a couple orange and at least one yellow and one light metallic blue. Lafayette doesn't really have it's own police...

    Which Fram Oil Filter.

These were brand new fresh out of the box unused filters. They were obviously turnings from when the threads were cut.

    Mufflers like Dynomax

I have a Super Turbo on my 1993 Chevrolet K1500 pickup with a single exhaust. It has a nice deep tone without being too loud. It's about 5-6 years old and the tone hasn't changed. However I've only driven it about 10,000 miles in that time. I'm real happy with it.

    Which Fram Oil Filter.

I found loose metal shavings in the last 2 Fram filters I bought. That's as bad as a rattlesnake in a sleeping bag or scorpions in my boots. A do not proceed message if there ever was one.

I'm interested. I'm having trouble with the messaging thing. I have to delete some old ones but haven't figured out how to do it.

Anyone bringing early A parts? Specifically 1965 Dart?

    Mopar Engine Weights

My comment is limited in scope. I am only referencing the Dodge Hemi/Poly group, particularly the 315-325 c.i. based on my personal experience working on them. I have not cross referenced my observation against any other established reference source yet but am attempting to do so now. I have a...

    Mopar Engine Weights

This must be a mistake, possibly the numbers were switched. The sheer size difference and complexity between the single and double rocker shaft engines can be discerned at a glance. Dodge 241-325 Poly 645 ?? Dodge 315-325 Hemi 610 ??

Sacramento County ban on home “major auto repair”

Thank you for the enlightenment. Wish I knew about this when I had the chance to pick up a nice 1965 Freightliner, although I was cautioned that, "It'll shake all of yer' fillings out!"

    61 Plymouth 2dr army wagon

The 60 Fords exceeded the maximum width allowed for passenger cars established by the DOT I believe. I think FoMoCo blew it by a couple of inches. Something to do with width limits on many old highway bridges in existence at the time before the great standardization imposed by the new Interstate...

    I was amused by this

Thank you for the clarification. I had forgotten about Auto Body Specialties although they don't have a huge selection of early A stuff either. I'm probably hoping to find another Layson's. We are fortunate to have even one Laysons. There couldn't be another person crazy enough to want to make a...
