Sorry I haven't put an update on this lately. But the engine is running good. I have put factory disc brakes, replacing the Scarebird disc setup and a new rear end, thank you DaveCuda. I also have put 15' tires with new chrome Rallye rims. Rides great. Still have a slight leak in the power steering.
4, 14" SBP Rallye wheels and Uniroyal TigerPaw tires with plenty of tread left on them. 4 trim rings and 3 center caps. All in good shape.
Also, a 9" Scarebird disc brake conversion with control arm assembly and all parts to upgrade your drum bakes.
Note:Brakes will NOT worth with installed...
Thank you for the info and great thread. I also call the local parts store to see if the part #'s were the same. Confirmed they were different. There are 1 for the left and one for the right.
Hello,
I have a question about a front disc conv. on a a body
I have got front spindles, upper control arm and ball joints.
Do I need to replace the lower ball joints too??
The original are not lining up with the spindles.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hello Group,
I got my Valiant back and its run good, need some bugs worked out with EFI.
But I have an issue that I need help with.
We put a kickdown cable for the auto trans and its not working correct.
I need to original kick down linkage for a 273 with auto trans.
Can anyone help?
Having some issues with the Scarebird brake conversion. The new sway bar that was installed interferes with the brakes. The calipers hit the sway bar when turning. Bummer. So that will be coming off until I go with the 73 and up spindles and a frame. Also Scarebird sent the wrong mounting plates...
A little more progress this week, just needs some fine tuning of the EFI. Now the brakes.
Took it for its first ride, but forgot the camera.
