    painting bumpers

I had the bumpers on my Duster re-chromed by Oregon Plating (Portland) for $400 @ I thought that was expensive. I had my Dart bumper done for $250 @ 7 years ago. Now, $800? Wow!

The Other 68 Dart Resto Project

I went through this drill with our families '68. My MIL passed away and left the car to us. Everyone wanted the car because she had owned the car since new. It was a two door, 318 post. It was immaculate. She lived in the desert and the car had absolutely no rust. I did put in a 340, 8 3/4, 727...

Bad news for the CA central Valley

In Salem, Oregon we do not have ANY DEQ tests. We still are not safe to pump our own gas but we do not have any test labs to bribe!

    Duster finally coming back together...

I have some sound deadener that does not have any "sticky" on it. I have to spray both surfaces and it is kinda messy. Where do you go to get the stuff you are using with the sticky side?

Sold my Duster and my Dart

I am "Moparless"! I have sold both of my restored Mopars. I sold my 73 Duster 360 Sport Coupe to a guy in NY and my '68 Dart 340 Tudor went to a guy in Yakima, WA. They both show the cars and are quite proud of them. I am pleased that they went to good homes where they will be appreciated and be...

    Sold the Ol'Dodge

My wife suggested we sell the Dodge Dart. We put a note on it at the All Mopar meet in Salem and a fellow from Yakima bought it. It was a sad day when the Dart left but it is going to a great owner and a nice garaged home. He will take good care of the Dart. I still receive the Mopar Muscle...

    71 Plymouth Scamp $300

I bought a '73 Duster Sports Coupe for $400. It was very similar to this '71. I put $20,000 into it and sold it for $10,000. It was worth the 10 grand just to see it reborn as a 360/727/8.75 Suregrip coupe. Hope the guy that bought it appreciates it!

    Edelbrock LD 340

I have the stock cast iron intake on my '68 340. It has been professionally ported and polished. It is a beautiful intake. I wanted the correct intake for my '68 Dart so I am stuck with the factory intake. At least it is flowing at the max rate thanks to a great porting job. I also have the...

Looking for help with pricing my '68 Dart

I am having some health issues and need to sell a couple of my cars. I have a restored '68 Dart 340 HiPro Tudor Sedan. It has been shown several times and it has won a award at the Mopar meets every time. Here is a list of what has been done to the car: (Started as a V/8-904-71/4 car)...

    Automotive repair no-no's

Always locate a good/full fire extinquisher when starting a new motor. I had an engine catch fire in the winter time when everything was frozen in the shop. The power steering line failed and the headers ignited the oil. I shut her down but could not find anything to put out the fire. Hose was...
