    Thanks for your reply, Option 1, both valves on cylinder 4 are opening at the same time. Cylinder 6 seems to be as normal, car was being driven at the time and developed a knock sort of like lifter noise only louder. I do realize your last point but these are both moving in identical sequence

    Any one know why both inlet and exhaust valves on number 4 cylinder on a 6 cylinder engine be opening and closing at the same time,??????? Push rods are not bent. Thinking cam lobe or collapsed lifter?????

    Hi there, I have just replaced the fuel gauge and sender unit in my 72 Duster 340 but the gauge is jumping up and down, I then remembered that I have a 71 Rallye dash, so am I correct in saying that I need a sender unit for a 71 or is there another one for the Rallye???? Any help much...
