Thanks guys! Sorry for the delay/ been working 12s. We're taking it back. Yes all he connections and gaskets are good. Found a spring missing in the float too.

The old carb idled way better then this one. Was thinking we had some bad gas at one point but after running a lot of gallons thru the tank that issue seemed to be gone.

I should clarify that the idle is rough and dies unless the idle is turned up high. Anyone have any ideas on issue?

Bought a remanufactured carb for our 71 Plymouth Scamp 225 6 cylinder. The engine will only idle at the high end. Turning the air mix screw in and all the way out makes no affect on idle. Any idea on what may be wrong? Is the carb bad and should I return it and get a replacement? Thanks.

Hey All. This Scamp is getting on my nerves. Got the brakes done. The car started up and ran at idle great for quite a while. Now we're getting gas in the oil and the car dies and has little power. Any ideas? Thanks (Again) Perk

We have a 71 Plymouth Scamp. Vinyl top. You can tell theres lots of rust under it. After we remove the vinyl top any thoughts on roof metal repair? We're gonna put a new vinyl top onit. Concern is its rusted through in a lot of places

We got the drum off. Had to cut off the studs, then heat them up to beat them out with a punch. Gonna buy new drum and studs and give it a try.

Havent been to WalMArt parking lot. LOL. The drum is ruined and the hub has taken a pounding from trying to drive it from the drum. The threads on the drivers side arent left thread. This is wierd cause they are tapered and had to cut off to get it out. Thinking I may need to just find used hubs...

How can we replace the stud bolts in the front hubs of a 71 Plymouth Scamp? The studs are worn possibly from loose wheels. Need to replace but they're tappered. Help would be great !!! Thanks!
