    Steering coupler question

Hi, I know... old posting, but I need some information. My Duster has full length headers and the well known problem with the steering coupler and the header. Has someone the diameters an numbers of splines in mind - I want to go with a bryke coupler. Car is a 1973 Plymouth Duster with power...

TC recommendation A999 (non lock up)

Hi, transmission is finaly out of the car (two funny screws - one at the starter and one between engine and oil filter)..... it took me 2 hours, including the driveshaft removal. O.k. cheating..... I drained the ATF over night. Geting the starter out was hard.... long tube headers - no further...

TC recommendation A999 (non lock up)

Hi, thank you. No, the TC is gone for sure. I checked both bands and they are within spec and not slipping. I have no more reverse but drive, even in neutral. The TC was first lower in stall speed and after the problem with trh reverse showed up, I thested it old school..... all weight on the...

Hi AJ/FormS, thanks a lot for the information..... I'm quite sure I will change to 15", somewhere arround 265 or 275. I have to order a few parts and I live in germany (hope there aren't too much mistakes in my postings) and I have do decide the TC brand. Do you have an advice for me? Again...

TC recommendation A999 (non lock up)

Hi, after finishing my 73 Duster I went out for some tuning. But the third run caused serious problems. After laying some incredible long patches, the transmission failed. The A999 was the only thing, I didn't rebuilt, because the seller told me it has done shortly before. I have a guy here...

Thank You! Here in "Krautland" old american steel is rare, so I wanted to do it right. I am driving us-cars since many years, and each of it has been great in its own way. Regards, Eckhard

... That's right.... The first attempts ended in a stalled engine, when switching into gear. And first I was fooled with my timing light, because for a MSD ignition you need a special tool (I am sure you know that). I am arround 20° at idle and nearly 35, all in. I am using a ACCEL distributor...

Hi, thanks - and yes... the converter is the only thing I am thinking about to change. The 8 3/4 has a 3.55gear. I wanted to go with 4.11, but car should be "driveable" for road use. Unfortunately here in germany drag racing isn't polular and the cops are "allergic" to smoking tires. But...

No, I bought the car with the info .... Comp cam 292h installed. But the car wasn't performing the way I expected. So I went from top to bottom. As I removed the vale covers, I found a pair of sollid rocker, instead of the adustable roller rocker, that schould have been installed. So I ordered a...

Yes, the guy who painted it is a realy master of his craft. The complete paint was remocved and he restored the shape of the rear end of the trunk. Lucky me, the Duster "lived" in California, before it was imported to germany. So absolutly no rust. We've chosen a candy apple red from House of...
