Determine 2 or 4 Barrel - by just looking at it?

I'm going to say four barrel because the fuel line enters at the passenger side rear. I believe a two barrel would be front center?

    Coolant recovery tank

The tank is not sealed, the overflow tube acts as a vent, but it works. You need a modern rad cap with a rubber seal.

    Coolant recovery tank

Mine is the same except it comes with 3 different screw in hose barbs for the hose to the radiator.

    Coolant recovery tank

I bought this one on Amazon. It was around $50. The inlet is at the bottom. There is a second smaller tube that sticks out at the bottom and runs inside up to about an inch from the top and acts as an overflow. If you have the correct rad cap it functions perfectly as a recovery system and...

I ran across this picture today. It reminded me of when I worked at my Dad's Sunoco station from when I was around 12 (1966). It was right at the beginning of the muscle car era, and since we sold the highest octane gas, I saw more than my share.

    Disappointing test drives/rides……..

Speaking of FE Fords, my Dad bought a mid 60's Mercury sedan to flip. It had a 352 two barrel. Probably the most gutless V8 I ever drove. He later bought a newer Mercury with a 302 and it would run away from the 352.

    Disappointing test drives/rides……..

Being young and inexperienced, when I built the 340 for my first race car I chose the biggest hydraulic cam I could find, a Cam Dynamics 300 H. I also needed a 727 transmission, so I found a used one, probably out of C body. It had a low stall 12 inch converter. The first time I took it...

Around the same year I was in school in Toronto and my parents came to visit in my old 71 Demon. Car would start but wouldn't stay running. No balast resistor on hand. We found a sweet spot for the key where it would keep running. We taped it in place and they were able to drive it all the...
