No. That was removed - presumably when the diaphragm clutch was installed ( MacLeod 10.95).

Thanks. Quite possible the spring is wrong. Pedal pressure is pretty heavy for a diaphragm clutch. I’ll get the correct one and go from there.

Thanks. The 2 inner bolts are an easy reach. It’s the out bolts that seem tough to access.

Circling back to this. Disconnected the speedo cable and drove the car. Same "fluttering" noise as before. Definitely speed sensitive in terms of the frequency of the flutter. Thinking a bad speedo cable may still give the noise even when disconnected from the head. If that is true or possible...

Yes. Will do that. Coincidentally, I had been playing with the headlight switch , adjusting the gauge brightness, when the dome light issue occurred. Wondering if a failing headlight switch may create a dome light issue.

yes, door plunger switches. Traditional blade type connectors. I'll get a pic to post. There is a small portion of the female side that sticks out . Maybe that allows access for a pick or such to release a lock tab.

Tried that. Can wiggle them but I’m wondering if there is a locking tab I need to pry up or out. Just don’t want to break the connectors and not much wire to work with.

Hi all. My dome light stopped working. Checked fuse, bulb and switch. Power to switch so I’ll try a new switch. Is there a trick to disconnecting the blade connectors on the switch?? After an hour, I gave up and thought I should ask. Thanks!

Hi all. I’m trying to diagnose a noisy Speedo vs cable vs gear and am seeing if there are any issues if I disconnect the Speedo cable at the Speedo head and drive the car? I’d think not, but would rather ask dumb question than fix something later. 70 Dart with Rallye gauge cluster. Thanks!
