Is there a difference in the gearshift linkage mechanism between a 727 and 904 in an A body?

Thanks Anderson, for pointing out this tread. It just might contain the solution I need. Ragnar in Iceland

Is there a difference in the gearshift linkage mechanism between a 727 and 904 in an A body?

I recently bought a 1969 Barracuda 360 with a 727 trans. She was originally 318 with a 904 trans. Car has center console with the original shifter. There is one thing I need to figure out: If I disconnect the shifter and move the control lever of the trans only, it goes into all gears and...

Can you tell me anything about this´69 Barracuda?

Thank you. U.S. made cars have always been popular in Iceland. Currently there are 3 ´67-´69 Barracudas registered and on the road here. Mine will be the fourth once winter is gone.

Original 318. BH29F98. A very distinctive scoop lettering; perhaps from another car or someone was dreaming about a Hemi.

Can you tell me anything about this´69 Barracuda?

I bought this fine ´69 Barracuda from Sun Valley CA last summer. Seller did not have any reliable information on its history. A piece of paper I found in car indicates that one previous owner was Tom Babuscio in Winnetka CA. The only thing the seller told me was that the guy he bought the...

    Formula Off-Road!

For decades, Icelanders have been competing in formula off -road; a series of races where the competitors on V-8 4x4´s tackle very steep hills as well as drive floating on water. Points are awarded for driving within the prescribed tracks (usually about 6 tracks pr. race) as well as how far...

Do you know anything about this 383 Duster?

The seller is right. And I want to emphasise again: I am just interested in the Duster´s past story. I have no buyer´s remorse. I am not doing this to dig up any information to use against the seller. My communication with the seller was excellent. He was honest and he helpful in many...

Diymirage; your explanation is absolutely right. But I also want to add that our transaction and communication with the seller, was otherwise very good.

Do you know anything about this 383 Duster?

Of course I asked these questions when buying the car but got limited answers. That is why I am asking around now.

Do you know anything about this 383 Duster?

You are correct. We knew about this post since it is from the seller we bought the Duster from. We are seeking info about the history before the seller got the car. He did not assemble the engine, nor do any of the specific work regarding turning the car into a race car. I also want to...

Do you know anything about this 383 Duster?

Your concern is noted and it is on the to do list. However, the photo is a bit deceiving; since it seems the line is closer to the pipes than it actually is.

Do you know anything about this 383 Duster?

Last summer we bought her from a gentleman in St. Augustine FL. We suspect the car might have a history around Jacksonville FL since the driveshaft was shortened by Drive Line Service on Commonwealth Ave there. Current color is very recent dark purple but was red before that and light green...

Muscle Motors stroker kits- any good??

Fortunately for you, I still have a 2003 brochure from Muscle Motors. This is what is says about the 416 c.i. kit: " Our newest small block kit uses the Mopar 4 inch stroke cast crank along with all our usual good parts. Internal balancing allows the use of non-weighted balancer and flex...

Muscle Motors stroker kits- any good??

Unfortunately Muscle Motors quit some years ago. I bought a 451 stroker kit from them more than a decade ago. It was and still is an awesome combo
