So unfortunately, I brought the car up there just wanting to do the rear tailpipes for now. The shop found some stuff that needed to be addressed with the front section and wanted to build a whole new system They would need the car for 2 days. Since I was an hour away from home with no ride...

Went out in the garage to figure out how to mount the tips. Came up with a quick idea with what I had. Just a piece of angle iron bolted to where the rear leaf spring hanger would go. They will be all cleaned up once they’re finialize. Going Tuesday to have the tailpipes bent up.

I like that idea. I’ll need to check if I have room to bring the exhaust to the inside of the frame/spring.

That’s exactly how I’m going to have mine done. Although, The tips won’t be in the exact factory location. They’ll be black so it won’t be so noticeable.

I have a full 3” inboard kit with mini tubs. I’ll need to come up some ideas to mount the brackets

With your suggestions I ordered Abody tips. Because of the relocated springs I’ll make some new brackets to mount them. Then, to match of the look of my car I’ll send them out to get powder coated black before the tailpipes get bent up.

Thank you. My car has the springs moved inboard so unfortunately I can’t run pre-bent tailpipes.

1971CY. Any exhaust shops your way that can bend some new tailpipes? I was thinking of giving Pop’s Exhaust a call.

Going to new tailpipes soon. Currently my temporary pipes exit on an angle behind the rear tire. Should I have them exit like they are now or go out the rear like the factory did?

    Another DIY gauge cluster

Not at all. It’s off center just a little. I had to do that to fit the gauges the way I wanted. Feels and looks very normal while driving
