Tony, if it was the air gap, why would it start when I jump the relay and not with the key

Ok I hate to ask for help (guy thing) but this got me, 74 duster 360 auto , getting no spark while cranking the engine . When I turn the key to the on position I get a spark when I turn the key and start the engine nothing, also when I turn the key off I get a spark, I have changed the starter...

Used stock 194 bulbs, I have tail and running lights and turn signal lights, just the neg side of the gauge is getting very hot

I pulled my dash out (1974 duster non rally ) changed the lights put it back in now I have dash no lights and my alternator needle is pined to the plus side of the gauge and the wire on the back of the gauge ( negative ) wire is red hot

I just bought the car , it has a stock intake with a eddy 750 on it I think it's a 1411 model ,tires on the rear are 275/60/15
