I don't think you could ever get converter close enough to get bolts to start in flexplate with magnum style roller bearing in there. I know that's not it I refreshened the motor last spring converter is seated correctly.

Yeah I don't like the idea either it's been working for 10 years on my 12v truck. Thought about trying to braze it just don't like messing with aluminum and high heat.

Be pretty hard to drill and tap inside that tight area. I thought about it years ago when I first started messing with the first one I did.
