OWWWWW, after giving up on my own rebuid, I bought a professionally rebuilt one. I messed up that one too... I wanted to change the stock cooler line nipples for hose-nipples. Of course one of them broke off. The back one. Well, I bored it out, paying special attention to keep little particles...

Yesterday evening the rebuilt 727 worked fine. Only transfluid seeping out between two pan bolts, with some gentle hammering we got it to stop leaking. So, we made a looooong list with next things to do, our ever lasting project is on track again! Thanks for all the input.
