All the stick racers(Coyote Stock & Pro Stick guys) I 've spoke with do not use clutch when shifting. They either lift momentarily or use a strain gauge to interrupt load off lugs.G-Force tells them shift it like its not yours, don't have to use the clutch. I would think all faceplated/dog ring...
Do you run an anti-roll bar?
My Colt is 4-link with anti-roll bar I don't run any preload. Always launches straight.
Your car is running well. Sorry to hear about the trans. Are you shifting with clutch?
5 original Colts that Chrysler contracted Dan Knapp to build in 1973 for Pro Stock racing. Ron Butler finished the car for Spehar/Carlton. So are the Nationwise Colts the originals built by Knapp?

I have a basic gen3 build in my Colt 2513ilbs with me.03 5.7 block, eagle heads, 13:1 , Prefix med rise intake, comp cam.Nothing special would like to build something bigger but want a stick.
Bob offered me the Colt also but I just completed my car. Then I saw the Colt on Racing Junk a year or 2 ago for sale. Guy just bought it and he didn't fit. Funny, I looked for years for a decent Colt to build and when I fished mine I find a bunch for sale. Including yours Stan.
Car looks great Stan can't wait to see it run. Great job with the build. Like the flat hood look.
I run Hoosier QTP with no tubes or screws with Holeshot wheels. Works well, no leaks .
Wish mine was 2200lbs, mine is 2513 with me in it.
Thanks for the info. My brake master is underneath like yours but it's behind my seat. No clutch master or pedal. That's one of things that I am debating. I would have to redo the brake setup to make room for a clutch pedal. Also the money thing, I would like a GForce 101A but it's pricey...
Hey Stan,
Finally able to log in and post. Car is looking great. Love the polished Bogarts. What size tires on the rear? Too bad we live so far apart would be great to lend a hand, Can't wait for its first run.
