Charge wire mod fuel gauge question.

I recently did the headlight relay mod and did the charge wire mod at the same time on my 1965 Valiant 200. As expected the alternator gauge is now not useful. I am not sure if the fuel gauge is just a coincidence but it now only reads half a tank on the gauge with a full tank of fuel. Has...

[FOR SALE] Plug and play - Headlight Relay Kits

Finally had time to install my kit today. Worked out great and all the wire lengths were perfect. Is a good kit and great quality. Bought a 9” bit of metal from Rural King and built a bracket that bolted to the factor brackets under the battery tray. Hides nicely and is still accessible.

    Odd door mirror

2 post would be correct but would not cover the damaged paint caused by the previous mirror.

    Odd door mirror

    It is a new mirror.

    Odd door mirror

Finally found something on eBay that seemed to work out well. The base covers the damaged paint and the vent window just clears the mirror perfectly.

    Odd door mirror

No remote. Going to look into the size of the base on the 67 and up version to see if it will cover the area of damaged paint under the base of mine. Thanks

    Odd door mirror

Thanks. I will stop trying to find them from some other Mopar application.

    Odd door mirror

I have been searching for a replacement to the door mirror on my 65 Valiant convertible. I have seen one other like it on a 65 Barracuda but I am not sure if they are an original to any Mopar or if they were an aftermarket? I could order the dual post style but the base on those is much smaller...

    No Valiant Love?

Been bringing this 65 back around. Has been a really fun project, gets lots of looks, and people want to talk to me about it every time I am out for a drive.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

I have lowered the front a bit more since the original posts. With the car as low as it is now I do get slight rub at full lock when hitting the bump backing out of my driveway. I don’t mind the slight rub. I think it is more a function of how low the car is than anything else.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Thanks The back drums are still the same 9” stock style drums just drilled for BBP. The fronts were converted to disk with A proportioning valve and dual pot master before I got the car.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Thanks Yes 17x7 Torque Thrust ii Polished. Tires are 215 45 17 No rubbing when turning and plenty of room in the rear wheel openings. I have taken some hard corners to check for any rubbing when tire is leaning and turning. All good. My car is a slant 6 so 215 is more than wide enough to put...

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Update on the project. Have driven about 75-100 miles on the new setup and all seems very good. Also updated the wheel and tire package on the car.
