Slant Six in my 36' Dodge Truck // Floor pan progress

Nothing as of late, we got a universal tank assembly fabbed up, and I'm working on getting it painted with 2k. Figuring out how to make the universal window regulators work is a nightmare. I've got to get the bench seat figured out too.

Shifter Selection // Where to start

If some time passes before I get to this part of the build, I'll hit you up.

Shifter Selection // Where to start

Thanks very much. I like to see many options, in case I hit an impasse.

Shifter Selection // Where to start

Sounds good. I am nearly positive it is a B/E tail shaft, I can post pictures tomorrow. Sounds good, a flat piece of steel with holes drilled through it is my speed, haha. Rods do worry me, but I have limited options. I'll make sure to share everything I do, so I don't accidentally kill the...

Shifter Selection // Where to start

Sounds good. Hindsight is 20/20, certainly will get that installed first on the next one! Be that as it may, If I am understanding correctly I need to get the shifter assembly from somewhere, but It can be moved by making a bracket... So, Assembly bolts to bracket, bracket bolts to tail...

[WANTED] Hydraulic /6 Rocker Arms, Rocker Shaft 1981+ needed

Hello, I am looking for good condition hydraulic rocker arms, push rods, and shaft for a 1981 onward slant six. Converting a solid to run a hydraulic cam. Thanks, S.

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Warning Will Robinson... I had to look that up, before my time. Sounds good. I'll post in wanted.

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Got smoked... Sucks to have fucked up, but I'd rather it work. Thanks for the input, Dan. Since I don't have to replace the entire cylinder head, from the posts above I need to 1. Use the new hydrualic lifters that I have; swap to oiling pushrods, rockers, and a rocker shaft, with the rear...

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

I couldn't find that thread, but I looked. Seems pretty split, it's not super wise but not impossible? I just need to decide what I'm going to do. I just feel like it's pretty unlikely I'll be able to get someone to buy this cam off me, or sink another grand into the motor (which isn't really...

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Thanks for the advice. It's sounding like it's at my own peril, could work, won't if I'm not meticulous and careful. I had the cam in the first place from a friend, even though it's not the right solid cam for this engine. That's where the issue starts from, I can't decide between sending it...

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Thanks for the advice, the solid lifters that I have were resurfaced. I got them through the machine shop in a kit and had them do it. Had trouble with solid lifters on a Toyota a few years back.

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Had a hard time finding those components for this. It's an early year slant, but I am not sure exactly what year.

    Hydraulic Cam // Solid Lifters

Me again, Hi, I built a slant 6, 225. I bought a comp cam, which came with new hydraulic lifters, as it's a hydraulic cam. The rebuild kit I bought came with new solid lifters, and as this is a budget build, I installed the new solid lifters with the hydraulic cam. I understand that the...

Shifter Selection // Where to start

Hey guys, Here are some pictures of the engine and transmission before I installed it into the truck, and then a nice pic of roughly where the shifter is going to live. See the bar that goes right in the middle of the seat bracket? The Hurst will have to mount just ever so slightly in front...
