Thanks! Turns out that the K-frame in there now is bent a little. (it came out of my '75 that was wrecked) It didn't become apparent until I tried to fit a large-tube header in there that was SUPPOSED to fit.
Yeah, they are. Don't forget, he's already cut his rear 2" on each side. If he hadn't, I'd have said 6.5" backspacing. I was thinking about before, when I had mine WITHOUT the springs moved in. Now, I have 6.5" backspacing. Sorry I wasn't too clear.
With the bowl off the carb, I set the float parallel to the top of the bowl while holding it upside down. Then I go a full turn IN to lower the float. Once on the car, I turn on the electric pump and raise it slowly until it's at the bottom of the site-plug.
My new TTI headers and X-pipe will be in by next week and my upgrade to the W2 heads will be much closer to completion. I still have to swap K-frames and put in the new torsion bars, but that's not too much work. I'll try to keep you guys posted. Should be knocking on 9's when I get it back...
