Will the numbers on block match vin?

A little light at the end of the tunnel maybe the car is original as I was told.

Well upon removing the rear seat I realized 2 things #1 no paper #2 need new seat and floorpan

Rear frame is toast but have found new ones online will stay all original full restoration . anyone know how I can figure out how many with my particular options where made and are left ..no fender tag rust gremlins. Claimed it
