Ok so large bolt pattern 7.25 5x4.5 axles will not fit in a 7.25 small bolt pattern housing correct? What about the doctor diff 5x4.5 ones? Is there any way to make those work? Forgive me if I posted in the wrong section.

I have an 8.8 ready to go in if not. I got it for 200$ complete with a 3.73 ratio and disc brakes. I wouldn’t mind keeping the 7.25 in there if I find a sure grip.i appreciate your advice though. 8 3/4 are hard to come by cheap.

Thank you for that info. What about lift? How would this affect a supercharged engine ? Do I need to be careful with lift. I have a 440 lift cam now but was looking at some of the Cams with big lift 500ish and 112 LSA

Did you keep it at a low lift for a reason on your cam? 430 compared to let’s say 520 lift

What’s your lift ? And are you running a torqstorm?
