    I ended up using the ARP 144-3601 set for W2 heads. This set come with 4 of the longer bolts instead of two.

    After looking at my heads again, they will need the LA head bolts. I have the conversion rocker arms from Mancini to oil through the pushrods.

    That's pretty safe timing, my guess is it will like at least a couple more degrees. As you add timing it will lean out if it's rich.

    I agree, your plugs are way too cold. I ran heat range 9's in my race motor that was 15:1 CR. I would recommend making your changes one at a time so you can pin down what improves and what doesn't. Too many changes and you won't know what helped. The higher octane fuel is probably not needed...

    I think I was misunderstood with my post. I'm totally good with using the thicker gasket to set the quench, I just wanted to make the point of needing more expensive gaskets. I have spent good money on this motor and I'm not about to cheap out on a couple gaskets! :thumbsup:
