I appreciate your clear answer. Most posts on the subject say face the oil hole towards the exhaust and if I positioned it that way my notch on the end of the shaft is pointed upwards. If I install the grooved hole outwards towards the exhaust and the single hole towards the engine the notch...
that would position the small oil holes facing the engine side. If that is correct I am all for it, but everything I have read says the small oil holes need to face the valve spring
If I position the notches that way the oil holes face towards the engine and everyone says to face the towards the valve spring. I think many are confused by just trusting the notch orientation
I have read several posts about this and all seem to have different advice so I apologize about bringing this up again. I have a 340 with edelbrock heads and what I believe to be 273 adjustable rockers with the banana groove shafts. I have always heard to orientate the groove on the shaft to...
can anyone tell me the part numbers for the lokar bracket and kick down cable
I have a 340/727 a body with the air gap and edlebrock carb.
Also can I use my stock throttle cable or do I have to use the Lokar
i just got my 340/416 back from the machine shop and put my edelbrock heads on with my rocker shafts (273 adjustable) and wanted to make sure I had the shafts positioned correctly to get oil flow. So I put a new filter on it and filled with oil , pumped it up with the drill and I have all kinds...
I appreciate all the help and advice. I decided to go with the dish piston set from scat and then see what my deck clearance will be. I can adjust the compression after I see where the numbers are when I get my rotating assembly. I am still open to cylinder head choice, and gasket thickness.
this has been discussed in part in-several previous threads, but I have yet to see a clear answer by anyone as to combination of a scat 416 rotating assembly with Edelbrock RPM heads.
I have a 69 340 that I want to get a scat forged stroker kit and run with eddy heads, my dilima is which...
