It broke one of the mounting ears off where the trans meets the bell housing.

So it sounds like im limited to either cutting up my floor, use a non OD A833, or take the risk with Passon

Hello all, its been a while since ive posted in this forum, but! I have a 70 Duster with a 340 bored and stroked to about 422ci and currently a cast aluminum case a833od trans behind it. The engine has way more power than that tranny can handle as ive already broken it once but had it repaired...

Well my oil pressure and delivery issue has been solved. Did some searching on YouTube and stumbled on this video here. Took my intake manifold off and sure enough, I hadn't put that plug in as I didn't even know about it. But now the engine is running nice and quiet and oil pressure is 25ish...

Is there any chance you'd be able to show pictures of the modification you did?

I have a 68 340 block with 4 bolt mains that was done before I got the thing. To my knowledge the oil passages and such are still stock

I'm just running the stock oiling passages, seems to get oil to the rocker shaft via all 5 mounting holes for the rocker shaft. Could you provide pictures?

How does one go about doing this? I'm idling at about 10-15 psi and about 25psi above 2000

What kind of oil pressure are you getting during idle and RPM?

I was using the same cam that is now in the 340, .513int/.498exh and I've already checked the PTV clearance when I put it all together, I don't remember the numbers anymore but there was plenty all the way through the cycle of the cam.

I don't have any other pictures of the indents on the other pistons but they were all colliding

You could probably guess by the second picture but those pistons USED to be flat tops lol

Id love to say but I never got it all to work quite right before it broke a valve and literally punched a hole through piston 3. This bending of pushrods has been an ongoing problem even with that 318.
