I have a 410 aluminum w2 heads. I didn't build it to race. Just used some left over parts from another life. I installed the ported a single plane intake that was with the heads that I bought when I was racing. using 3.23's for the street. I put on a dual plane W2 manifold with way small...
I have a SB with header and I had a single plane. When I put A dual plan on my engine my drivability went through the ceiling. If you are just cruising a dual plane is the answer. A single plane needs gears and stall to be really effective.

Thanks for informing me on the 390. The car in my picture is my after racing car/engine. It is 10:1 410 with aluminum W2 heads. I too was concerned about compression. I live at 4000' and have no ping problems. I run 3.23's with a 28" tire. Your truck should be a torque monster. My cam is an...
Truck Dana 60's are heavier. By the time you pay someone to shorten and the new ends, you will wish you had just bit the bullet and bought a Strange. To put new ends on a Truck 60, you will need a jig to make sure it's straight. You will hate yourself in ths morning
