Fast ETs Using a Dual plane ( BB & SB )

I have a 410 aluminum w2 heads. I didn't build it to race. Just used some left over parts from another life. I installed the ported a single plane intake that was with the heads that I bought when I was racing. using 3.23's for the street. I put on a dual plane W2 manifold with way small...

Dual Plane vs Single Plane Manifold with TBI

I have a SB with header and I had a single plane. When I put A dual plan on my engine my drivability went through the ceiling. If you are just cruising a dual plane is the answer. A single plane needs gears and stall to be really effective.

727 Transmission for my 1974 Plymouth Duster

    Don't use a 727, a 904 works great and will last.

Will a 32×14 slick fit in a Mini tubbed 70 dart?

I have a 67 notch back Cuda. I narrowed the rear end 2" and did a mini tub. I have 12" wide tires and they fit great

    410 Duster

Looks great! I have a 410 in my Barracuda. If you can find a 904, they hold up behind 410's and are considerably faster than a 727. My friend has 2 A bodies that run 10.50's using 904's. I have a Street 410 and mine runs 12.20's with 3.23's. Not the one in the picture

Custom pushrods, how much stock lifter preload?

If you are not making a high RPM race only motor. you don't have to have roller rockers. In my opinion you are taking a shortcut. A shortcut is the quickest way to somewhere you didn't want to go. Get the adjustable rockers. It is almost impossible to make the pushrods the right length for...

    8 3/4 disk vs drums

Disks on the front and drum brakes on the rear are very ok unless you are going to road race.

    High Compression 390

Thanks for informing me on the 390. The car in my picture is my after racing car/engine. It is 10:1 410 with aluminum W2 heads. I too was concerned about compression. I live at 4000' and have no ping problems. I run 3.23's with a 28" tire. Your truck should be a torque monster. My cam is an...

Should I get a Car or Truck Dana 60 ??????

Truck Dana 60's are heavier. By the time you pay someone to shorten and the new ends, you will wish you had just bit the bullet and bought a Strange. To put new ends on a Truck 60, you will need a jig to make sure it's straight. You will hate yourself in ths morning
