Been working on my son's Cuda. We got a fender to replace the crunched one that came on the car. It so happens that one was smashed up a bit too so I tried my hand a some old school lead filler.
I think I'm getting the hang of it. See pics:
We are still working on our 'Cuda. We'll be doing some lead build up on those dents and replacing the header panel and right fender this weekend.

Our '67 Cuda has a SB 360 and the headers are really close to the heads on the driver side of the motor. So close the plug wires touch the header pipe and they melt.
There was a strip of tin that held back the wires but did not help much.
I bought some spark plug wire socks and used some...

We bought a fender to replace the damaged one on the Cuda but after some clean up we realized....we are back to square one. This one had some damage concealed by a bit of body filler.
That is the gamble we take when buying parts on Craigslist...:wack:

So my 19 year old son finally found his dream car. This will be a father son build...not a full on resto job.

Our family loves cars in general. All types. We have had several projects from 1930s Hot Rods, a '59 Edsel, several 60s VW Beetles/Ghia and a couple AD series Chevy trucks.
But we have always been more partial...
